7th May Urban Vision – Visionary Voices session at Haniffa Business School became far more than a leadership talk.

There were ambassadors, senior leaders, academics, industry professionals, students, and future leaders in the room — yet by the end of the evening, titles disappeared.

People laughed.

People reflected.

People teared up.

People sang together.

And perhaps for a moment, everyone remembered what leadership is truly about.

Datuk Ras spoke not from theory, but from life.

From surviving years without employment after becoming disabled, to eventually becoming Malaysia’s first female Chairman of BERNAMA and a Senator of the nation.

But beyond the achievements, what moved the room most was her humanity.

“Today, ladies and gentlemen, it’s about the upgrading that actually matters. Not software, not hardware, but heartwear.”

She reminded the audience to simply “get up, dress up, and show up” — to keep moving forward despite pressure, uncertainty, and challenges, while never forgetting to help others along the way.

In a world rushing toward AI, algorithms, speed, and efficiency, she reminded us that people are still carrying silent battles.

Sometimes, all someone needs is to hear:

“Are you okay?”

True leadership begins with empathy, communication, and understanding people.

• 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝘁 𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗟𝗶𝗳𝗲’𝘀 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲𝘀

Adversity does not define a person — how we rise from it does.

Future-ready organisations are built on cultures where people feel valued, heard, and empowered.

• 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗼𝘄𝗘𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗩𝗼𝗶𝗰𝗲, 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 & 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻

Music, storytelling, and shared moments transformed the session into a deeply human experience.

Leadership is not about status — it is about meaning, impact, and uplifting others.

In a rapidly changing world, compassion and humanity matter more than ever.

Urban Vision continues to be more than a platform for leadership conversations.

It is becoming a space for real stories, real humanity, and real connection.

Because in the end, leadership is not about titles.

It is about how many lives you uplift along the way.
